Arriving at the Club
Upon entering the property, park in any unmarked spot. The golf valet and bag drop are located to the left of the Clubhouse. Here, members of the BI Golf team and Mount Vernon Country Club staff will take care of your clubs and direct you to the clubhouse where registration will be setup in the main ballroom near the putting green.
Attire
Please visit Mount Vernon's website for the complete dress code. Below is a summary:
- Gentlemen are required to wear shirts with collars and sleeves. Turtlenecks and mock turtlenecks are permitted. All shirts that are designed to be tucked in must be tucked in (i.e. golf shorts, sports shirts)
- Caps must be worn bill forward. Shoes must be appropriate for golf and metal spikes are prohibited.
- Members and guests are requested to remove caps/visors/hat when in the main dining room at all times
Tournament Information
The tournament will be held at Mount Vernon Country Club and will be a scramble format - all players tee off and select the best drive; all players then continue play from that position.
On Course Contests
Course Contests include Closest to the Pin, Straightest Drive, Cannon Shot, Putting, and Hole-In-One.
Raffles and Auction
Bidding on auction items and purchasing raffle tickets can be done before the tournament and during the evening program. All bidding will end at 6:00 PM. Click Here to donate an item to the auction/raffle.
Food and Beverage
Breakfast items will be available before the 11:30 Shotgun Start. Also, a full grab and go lunch will be served on the patio during play. On course refreshments are available and from circulating carts. Our evening program will feature a reception with stations and passed hors d’oeuvres.*Meal locations and offerings are subject to change based on CDC and state regulations as well as Mount Vernon Country Club's safety measures.
Forms of Payment Accepted
The Bishop Ireton Golf Classic accepts all major credit cards, cash, Venmo, and checks. Sponsorship and admission should be paid via the website or check/credit card prior to the tournament unless otherwise arranged with the Golf Committee and/or Advancement Office.
Volunteering
